Vella Terra is an independent, self-funded fair dedicated to promoting the responsible consumption of natural wine and supporting wineries that produce it under high quality standards. As we do not receive public funding or support from official institutions, each edition is built through the fair’s own resources.

For this reason, we do our best to keep prices as accessible as possible for professionals, so they can discover, taste, and connect directly with the exhibiting wineries, while we continue to offer a carefully curated, high-quality professional experience. [here].

Vella Terra: a fair with purpose, transparency, and authenticity

On this page, you can buy your online ticket to access Vella Terra and enjoy it to the fullest.
Before you continue, we’d like to share a few key aspects of our philosophy and the way we work.

Our standards: real guarantees for natural wines

The parameters that define our fair were established in its very first edition, back in 2016.
Among other criteria, we decided that wines presented at Vella Terra must not be chemically clarified or filtered, must not contain added sulfites, or, if they do, must have less than 30 mg per liter.
Producers must also provide laboratory analyses to ensure full transparency and authenticity. [Read our full standards here.]

A shared foundation for European natural wine

These rules are the result of consensus within the natural wine community and among fairs like ours that have worked to set clear standards promoting the growth of natural wine across Europe.
They also align with the official certification created in France in 2019 and endorsed by its government, which defines precisely what can—and cannot—be called natural wine.

Transparency over confusion

The need for clear rules arose from the confusion present in many European and national events.
Often promoted as natural wine fairs, many showcased products that didn’t meet minimum standards of quality or authenticity.
At the same time, some producers claimed the “natural” label without reliable analyses, leading to distrust and disappointing experiences for consumers.

Commitment to truth and respect

At Vella Terra, we decided to take action.
We ended the lack of transparency: if a wine is presented as natural, it must be verified every year.
Most importantly, without judging others.
Our priority is to ensure that the information we offer to the public is precise, honest, and verified — and that our exhibiting wineries play fair.

Most of our producers use no sulfites at all, and those who do never exceed 30 mg/liter.
We understand that not everything is black and white: climates and territories vary, and we value every winemaker who proudly shares their work and decisions within minimal intervention standards.

A decade of effort and passion

Over the years, Vella Terra has promoted natural wine independently, facing unfair criticism and disloyal behavior often rooted in envy or competition.
But facts speak louder than words: after ten years leading and enriching the sector, we’ve gathered renowned wineries, sold out every edition, and strengthened our impact on the natural wine movement in Spain.

The result of this dedicated work is clear: more people return each year.
Professionals, enthusiasts, and natural wine lovers from Barcelona, across Spain, and around the world experience our fair with excitement and appreciation.
They are our greatest inspiration to keep improving.

Spain’s first international natural wine fair

Since our founding, more than 600 natural wine producers from 23 countries in Europe and the New World have participated in Vella Terra, sharing their analyses and their passion.
Thousands of professionals from over 30 countries have joined us — including importers from Asia and the Americas, as well as top chefs, sommeliers, and hospitality professionals.

With a decade of experience, we stand as Spain’s first international fair dedicated exclusively to natural wine. At Vella Terra, we’re guided by facts, not rumors.

Our priority is constant improvement — promoting each winery with dedication, respect, and passion. Because Vella Terra is not just a fair: it’s an independent, global community — a space of openness, respect, and love for natural wine, growing year after year.
