Over the years, at Vella Terra, we’ve promoted natural wine independently, facing unfounded criticism and unfair behavior, often driven by envy or greed. Many of these criticisms come from people who wanted to maintain their influence or their stand at our fair at any cost, even despite their bad conduct, or from those we’ve decided not to invite anymore because of it. Most of these criticisms come from people who weren’t even part of the sector when we started, and who we know well, or from those we once helped in their early steps in the wine world.

The facts speak for themselves: with 9 years of leading and enriching the sector, Vella Terra has brought together renowned wineries and sold out tickets at every edition, reflecting its impact on natural wine in Spain since its inception. If we were doing things wrong, this wouldn’t be happening year after year.

Fortunately, what stands out is that the vast majority value our efforts, and we are recognized for our professionalism both nationally and internationally. People from all over Barcelona, Spain, and the world return and enjoy our fair year after year. They live the experience with enthusiasm, recognize its positive impact, and become part of it. These people are our greatest inspiration to keep moving forward, giving our best at every edition.

The First Natural Wine Fair in Spain

There is no denying that our fair has been a driving force for the evolution of the natural wine sector in Spain. Since our founding, we have hosted over 500 wineries from 23 countries, internationalizing the majority of them. Thousands of professionals from 32 countries, including the most renowned importers from major markets such as Asia and America, as well as top-tier hoteliers, chefs, and sommeliers committed to the sector, have visited us. We have promoted national wineries that meet natural production standards, giving them absolute priority, and have welcomed international wineries with decades of experience. In this way, we have established ourselves as the first international fair in Spain dedicated exclusively to natural wine, with nearly a decade of history.

We focus on facts, not rumors. Our priority is to continuously improve, making the most of the resources available to uniquely promote each winery with dedication and passion. This blend of quality, approachability, and empathy defines our work and has allowed us to remain leaders in this exciting sector.
