Commitment to inclusion, transparency and direct contact.
VELLA TERRA is an international, professional, and independent fair of natural wines created in 2016, dedicated to internationalizing exhibiting wineries by connecting them with exporters, distributors, hospitality professionals, sommeliers, and wine lovers. We offer a unique tasting experience with wineries from all over Spain, Europe, and other parts of the world.
In each edition, our wineries provide us with the analytics of their wines to ensure our guarantee of truthfulness and transparency. All the wines you’ll taste at the fair meet our fair parameters. (See here)
All wineries participating in Vella Terra produce wines fermented with their native yeasts, without enological additives, unfiltered, and unclarified, containing the natural sulfites generated in the wine fermentation process (which occur naturally at levels of less than 10 mg per liter depending on each territory and variety).
Only a few wineries you’ll find at Vella Terra use minimal doses of added sulfites, never exceeding our fair parameter of 30 mg per liter, which also includes them in the “Vin Methode Nature,” the first certification created in 2020 recognized for natural wines in France, sharing the same characteristics as our criteria established in 2016 when Vella Terra was born.
Inclusion Commitment:
At our fair, we are committed to inclusivity and diversity, welcoming all individuals equally, regardless of their ability, ethnicity, age, religion, or gender identity, and ensuring they have equitable access to the same services, opportunities, and treatment as others. We do not tolerate any form of macho violence and have a space at our registration point to report this type of behavior, as well as any other act of violence.
Transparency Commitment:
At Vella Terra, our transparency commitment focuses on providing accurate and truthful information to our attendees. Our task is to research, visit, and get to know each exhibiting winemaker to verify their practices and the analytics of each wine that will be showcased.
We distance ourselves from unfounded radicalization and value the individual circumstances of each exhibiting winemaker.
All wineries participating in Vella Terra agree to display the analytics of their wines, demonstrating their transparency and commitment to the movement.
Our participation criteria are the strictest and most truthful in the context of natural wine fairs worldwide, being the only ones to require sulfite analysis from participating winemakers in Spain.
Commitment to direct contact with the winemaker:
At the Vella Terra fair we are committed to providing direct contact with the producers. We are the only international professional wine fair on the peninsula that offers the attendees the guarantee that all the natural and low-intervention wines that our winemakers will offer are what they will explain to you: the truth straight from them and you can also purchase their wines at the fair directly from them.
Last but not least, at the Vella Terra fair we try to gather together wineries that make natural wine in small batches and we bring them to our fair once or twice a year for days full of naturalness and emotion.
At our event you can find not only the participating winemakers but also their distributors, exporters, importers, associations’ representatives, the whole chain in the hospitality industry, sommeliers, press that wants to write about the event and the winelovers that are passionate about this wonderful reality.
Thank you for following us. Together, we make Vella Terra happen.
Take it home and once the two days of the fair are over, go to the cashier and leave it there so that the staff can put it away for next year.
